This position is located at our premier Product Development & Research (PD&R) facility in Carrollton, TX. Working on new product initiatives providesa large opportunity to innovate intellectual properties. As of October 2019, PD&R is approaching upon 700 patents issued. Lennox International (LII) has rewarding practices for engineers who bring creativity and innovation to our products. Advanced Controls and User interfaces (through mobile applications) is a key differentiator from our competitors. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Controls Engineer, you will be an integral part of the product development and research team. You will lead innovation of product development across a wide array of new products.You will conduct system verifications for controls engineering to maintain quality of all the new and maintenance firmware release cycles. In this role, youwill also collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure our products have the highest standards of technical depth, passion, quality and excellence.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

BS/MS in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in C, C++ for Embedded firmware development and Testing is required.

  • Experience programming and testing multi task or multi-threaded embedded applications.

  • Experience in test automation tools

  • Good knowledge in embedded firmware testing, test design, test development processes and related tools.

  • Working knowledge for developing white box and black box tests.

  • Experience with serial communication protocols (I2C, RS-485, RS-232, CAN)

  • Knowledge of networking protocols TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP and application protocols like JSON

  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) is a plus.

  • Experience in developing and/or testing applications using RESTFul and SOAP web service architectures is an advantage

  • Experience with scripting languages like Python.

  • Knowledge of Requirements Management, Configuration Management concepts source code version control, bug tracking and traceability.

  • Familiarity with the HVAC industry is a plus.
