Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
Develop and execute on critical success factors in new product & new technology evaluations using CFD leading to successful adoption
Drive a high-profile team working with global teams across US, Europe & Australia
Reduce the lead time of CFD projects by driving automations and customization in Ansys Fluent
Work as an Individual contributor on self-handled projects and deliveries
Develop strategic talents & competencies in close co-operation with Director of Mechanical Engineering
Key Responsibilities :
Manage the day-to-day operations of the team consisting of fluid dynamics and thermal engineers
Deliver projects as per committed schedule with strong conclusions and suggestions for non-CFD engineers working on Product designs & development
Communicate Clearly on all Projects – from understanding the requirements, executing the projects to sharing the conclusions
Set goals and achieve targets for the team, perform talent review and create plans for individual career development
Provide Innovative yet cost-effective engineering solutions to complex technical problems

Director of Mechanical Engineering
Head of Global Advanced Technology Group
Ansys Technical Team
The interactions with these stakeholders should portray a positive image of the Engineering capability of the team and the wider Mechanical Engineering organization. It is expected that issues are dealt promptly but rationally without the sacrifice of program integrity for the sake of customer expediency.
B.E in Mechanical Engineering from IIT / IISc (AND/OR) M.Tech in Fluid Dynamics or Heat Transfer from IIT / IISc / Outside India. Overall Experience : 15- 18 years
Previous experience working as a Team Leader / Manager
Cross-Functional Team Interactions preferably with Europe / US teams
Hands-on Experience on fluid flow or heat transfer simulations using Fluent
Willing to work based out of Chennai and open to travel abroad for short-term business / project discussions
