Job Description

The Electrical Engineer assists in the performance of an assortment of engineering duties such as manufacturing planning and the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical apparatus.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, test, install and maintain large-scale electronic equipment or machinery.

  • Use computer-assisted engineering, design software and equipment to perform assignments as needed.

  • Apply the principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals.

  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.

  • Must have at least a BSEET 2 year technical degree or equivalent.

  • Must have programming experience with Microsoft DOTNET programming languages (We use VisualBasic.NET).

  • Must be able to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.

  • Must be able to design industrial control circuits and small mechanical fixtures using AutoCAD.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is preferred.

  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

This individual will report to the Quality Engineering Manager for Production Test and will work with a small team of technicians producing test hardware and software for the automated test systems in the Lennox Stuttgart facility. This individual will work with the product designers for provisions in the product hardware and firmware that will allow the HVAC product to be tested. The individual will take any product specifications and modify or create new hardware or software to fully implement the final automated testing of the product. This individual will support the technicians who support this equipment by helping them to troubleshoot problems with the test equipment or in the product itself. This individual will specify component purchases and will oversee any contractor work related to the automated test equipment. This individual will work with PD&R on any new design launches or product problems.


Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.

Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field. Familiar with analytical and CAD software. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans. Good oral and written communications skills.
